Finance Ministry Secretary Harshana Suriyapperuma says that efforts are being made to recover as much as possible of the $2.5 million stolen from the Ministry of Finance by cybercriminals.
The Ministry Secretary emphasized that the hackers accessed the relevant system via email and that the Australian Ambassador and the creditor were also informed about the incident.
He made this statement while attending a media briefing held at the Ministry Auditorium today (23).
