After the establishment of the proposed National Education Council, all teachers, including those providing private tuition, will have to obtain a teaching license, according to sources in the Ministry of Education.
A person will be considered a suitable teacher for the national education system only after obtaining the license, and the same sources further said that it has been proposed to make the salary of a teacher with a doctorate equal to that of a university teacher.
In addition, it is reported that some regulation is also proposed on the fees charged by government-approved private schools.
It is reported that after the establishment of the National Education Council, only graduates will be recruited for the teaching profession, and that the chairman of the council will be appointed by the President.
