United National Party General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said that the government has planned to increase the salaries of government employees in the last quarter of this year. He further mentioned that if the government achieves the desired goals, the public will benefit from it.
Commenting further on this issue, he said, "We are now out of bankruptcy. By doing so, the people of this country have found that easy advantage. The President stated very clearly that he hopes to give the government employees a salary increase by the last quarter after the country's economy is prepared.
He further said that this is why the government is working to increase the income through actions such as proper collection of goods and money, and if the expected demand is reached, the public servant can also do the same.
