The Israeli military has admitted that around 70,000 Palestinians have been killed in clashes between Hamas and the Israeli army.
The Israeli military told the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth that the number does not include the missing.
However, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Wednesday that 71,667 people had been killed in the clashes.
The ministry also said that 171,343 people had been injured.
