After the resignation of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board including the chairman and executive committee, the Sports Minister has appointed an interim committee to administer the organization.
Former Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Iran Wickramaratne has been appointed as its chairman, while Roshan Mahanama, Kumar Sangakkara, Thusira Radella, Sidath Wettamuni, Avanthi Colombage, Prakash Shafter, Upul Kumarapperuma and Dinal Phillips are its other members.
Until a board of directors is appointed through an election, the affairs of the organization will be managed by an interim committee led by Iran Wickramaratne. Iran Wickramaratne is a school cricketer representing Royal College, Colombo.
