Despite Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's announcement yesterday that the Strait of Hormuz would be opened to all commercial vessels in line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy reportedly turned back two Indian ships through the Strait of Hormuz this afternoon.

Shipping monitoring company 'TankerTrackers' said in a statement that it had confirmed the information through two recordings received on Channel 16, an international maritime emergency channel.

Gunfire was also reported to have taken place in the incident. One of the ships turned back was reportedly an Indian-flagged crude oil tanker carrying 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil.
