The judgment of the case against Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero for the charge of criminal coercion by breaking into a press conference held by Venerable Wataraka Wijitha Thero was announced today.
There, Reverend Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero was found guilty by the court regarding that charge. Proclaiming the verdict in the case, Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered the defendant Gnanasara Thero to pay three lakh rupees to the complainant Wataraka Vijitha Thero.
On April 9, 2014, a press conference held by the National Force Organization was filed on the grounds of illegal entry.
