Another $625,000 has gone missing, says the Minister of Mass Media. .

Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa revealed today that an investigation has been initiated into the failure of the Sri Lanka Postal Department to send US$625,000 to the US Postal Service (USPS) to the institution.

He said this while participating in a media briefing held today to announce cabinet decisions. Expressing further views, the Minister stated as follows.

"Such irregularities or errors in institutions are being investigated at the institutional level. The Ministry of Finance has also submitted a complaint to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in this regard. All these matters are not being discussed in the Cabinet."
